“Thank you for enabling me to attend the program at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore … It was enriching and gave me food for the soul that will be with me always.”Scholarship Recipient from Pennsylvania

The Peabody Institute, Maryland

Scholarships play an important role in Elderhostel’s mission by helping people of limited financial means participate in the exchange of ideas, camaraderie and enjoyment of an Elderhostel program. We receive letters every week from scholarship recipients telling us how much they appreciate this unique opportunity to learn and grow.

By establishing a Named Scholarship Fund, you can help others experience the intellectual stimulation, friendship and enjoyment of Elderhostel. These special Funds not only provide scholarships, they also provide an opportunity for you to honor a loved one — or yourself — in perpetuity. This gift creates a legacy that will continue to offer learning opportunities to future generations.

Elderhostel is grateful to all of the donors who have generously established Named Scholarship Funds. Many satisfied donors, such as Earl and Carol Nelson, have created Named Scholarships. Click here to Read the Nelson’s story.
